Note that the recording gets a little choppy, but it's mostly just the ending part that's the same every week.

Transcription and translation by me. Sorry it took so long to get this up; I've been pretty bogged down with things to do this week. :/ Please credit if using!

Question: Today, April 14th, is known as Black Day in Korea. With no connection to Valentine's Day on February 14th or White Day on March 14th, single people gather wearing black clothes. It's chocolate for Valentine's Day, but for Korea's Black Day, what do they eat and drink?

Black Day, huh? What could it be? Ah, what they eat and drink is definitely set in stone. Maybe something black? Since it's Black. But businesses probably do something, as a strategy. So in that case, I think it's some kind of product. What could it be... Chocolate and marshmallows come to mind, but it's Korea, so... something like cigars and whiskey. That's definitely wrong! Hahaha. What do they eat? Something spicy? Like jajamen, and maybe a tapioca drink. Nfufu, I don't really know. Something like cafe food? What is it... I have no clue. The answer to this burning question will be presented at the end of the program.

Well then, let's get going today! Kanjani8's Ohkura Tadayoshi, Nichiyoubi Sukkyanen!

Good after noon? How are you doing? This is Kanjani8's Ohkura Tadayoshi. This is the second week, huh, starting from last week. Whether I'm used to it... well, I'm not used to it. I don't talk by myself, after all. I'm at the point now where talking to myself could become a habit. Before, it was just a given that we'd do it as two, but now I really understand what a blessing that was. And, like, sometimes when I'm going on a drive, I listen to the radio. There are people who do this kind of thing for hours and hours, all by themselves. I think those people are really incredible. There are so many things you don't know until you try them. So that's what I'm aiming for, becoming one of those eloquent DJ-types with good pronunciation. It'd be cool if I could get there. The next time I do radio with the other members, they'll be all, "This guy's changed." Fufufufu. "He's getting results~"

Recently it's been... yeah, the drama. It's started! The drama I appear in. Otenki Onee-san, starring Takei Emi-chan. Ah, that's right, Takei Emi-chan also has a show on Nippon Housou. Sunday night, is it? Though between the two, it seems like they're reversed, hehe. You'd want to hear Takei Emi-chan's voice in the afternoon, wouldn't you? And me, my voice is on the low side, so people who listen to the radio get relaxed, or sleepy, is what I often hear. Getting sleepy on a Sunday afternoon... well, that's fine if they sleep, since it's a Sunday. Right? It's a day off. But I'm going to keep working to make this the kind of radio show you listen to while you're out on a drive.

Well, it seems the staff is also very interested. Just how sexy my costar Dan Mitsu-chan is, that is. Dan Mitsu-chan is super sexy. What's with that! That sexiness she wears like an outfit. I myself have never seen her outside of television. During the production she wears a kimono, all dressed in traditional clothing, her hair up. What's more, even though this is apparently her first serial drama, she's a huge presence. Usually she, like, comes in with her lines memorized, and then does something while saying those lines. And then it turns into something like, "Ah, it's hard to say my lines while doing this~" What is it, exactly... she the proprietess of a snack bar called Mitsu no Aji. She also cooks, so she says her lines while chop-chop-chop-chopping and stuff. Everyone was surprised. But even when she's talking like that, she's mild-mannered. She's a good person.

Let's get going, then. Kanjani8's Ohkura Tadayoshi, Nichiyoubi Sukkyanen. This week as well, please stay with me till 2:30.

Here's this week's question. Relative to others, I really love food, so today we also have a quiz related to food. -- Hey, it's fine being a food lover. -- When it's food that both adults and children like, it's hamburg!* Now then, in all of Japan, which place pays out the most money per year on hamburg -- making them and eating them? It might even be your city! The answer, after this song.

Taylor Swiftで「We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together」です。
Whenever I wake up, I put this person's music on first, though in actuality it's usually just a snippet. Today I'd like to take the time to leisurely introduce her to you. Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together".

<Taylor Swift・「We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together」>
<Taylor Swift - "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together">

The song we're playing for you is a song by Taylor Swift.

Here's the answer to the quiz. The place that uses the most money yearly on hamburg is... Shizuoka.

Shizuoka, huh? Doesn't seem like it at all. What is it when you think of Shizuoka? Huh? Fujimiya yakisoba? Oh, tea! So they eat lots of hamburg, huh? In first place, Shizuoka, 4206 yen. Eh? This... huh? Yearly? Yearly. In second place is Fukui, 2947 yen. How many meals different is this now? Because the ground meat is 200 yen or so, so if it's 200 yen, it'd be six more meals or so. Days where they say, "Today we're eating hamburg~". Ehh, seriously? The average for the country is 1863 yen. Which means it's more than double the average. Wow! I wonder why. Eh, ah, I see, there's a reason. There's been a project to bring hamburg to cities, with Shizuoka Prefecture central, the Let's Eat Hamburg association. Centered in Fukuroi and Iwata cities, they're in the process of transmitting unique and delicious hamburg culture across the country. Huh? The head of the assocation is the local mascot character, Hambearg Guuguu. Nfufufu. Hambearg Guuguu... Guuguu's the one who presents, it seems. His mouth resembles Mt. Fuji. They've really mixed a lot in, haven't they? They shouldn't be that greedy.**

So that's it. That's how they so much hamburg. Hamburg, huh? But amazing hamburg, you know, for me the most incredible hamburg I ate stuck with me for about eight hours. Fufufu. Like, there's something still there? In my belly. Fufu. Ah, huh? The Let's Eat Hamburg assocation seems to have developed all kinds of new hamburg dishes that haven't been conceptualized before. For example, the Shizuoka odenburg, a hamburg using oden ingredients. Ah, I bet that's good. Fukuroi Crown Melonburg, with sauce using melon juice and fruit. Hmm. Hiyashiburg, chilled Chinese noodle-flavored, etc.

Amazing! He's really working hard, that Guuguu. So there's this kind of thing. And it's including this that they spend that much money. I see. But it's a treat when you think about it, hamburg. Though even though it feels that way, I think there are probably people who don't eat it because making it is such a pain. All that kneading, kneading and slapping. It's hard work! I make it occasionally, maybe once a year or so. When I get really into it I'll make tofu hamburg or use chicken, or mix in firm tofu. But when it breaks I get all pissed, and my hands are all dirty, and I think, "This won't happen a second time!" But in the end I make it again, because it's good. Also, I love hamburg restaurants! Steak and hamburg places. Ahh, I can't handle it! Just the other day I went out to eat steak, and because I hadn't eaten rice I hadn't had my treat, so when I ate steak I was so happy. Fufufufu. Hamburg, yes, everyone try eating it. Well, if you go to Shizuoka you'll be able to eat these kinds of hamburg. It's close, right, Shizuoka. Everyone, please make a trip.

Just now we had a hamburg quiz, but now we have a quiz about Kanjani8. Well, last week was a quiz about me, and they did a mean segment about how many people out of thirty knew me. Heh. What kind of quiz will it be today? Let's see!

Question: [Cuts out, but same intro as last week.] Kanjani8 is a group of seven who were originally Kansai Johnny's Juniors. Last year they appeared on Kouhaku Utagassen, and they've become a so-so loved group. By the way, last week, of the thirty people we asked in front of JR Yuurakucho Station, twelve knew who Ohkura Tadayoshi was. -- When you look at it this way, it's not very many after all. 'cause when it comes to people who can get all thirty to answer, there are a lot of celebrities who can, so this isn't good. -- On that note, what is it this week? The person in Kanjani who sings the best, Shibutani Subaru-kun. How many people out of thirty can answer with Subaru-kun's name correctly, not as "Shibuya" but "Shibutani" [渋谷 can be read both ways]? We went in front of Yuurakucho Station again this time.

Wah, this... But see, he gets mistaken on set, too. "Shibuya-san, Shibuya-san." He's been called that so often that when they say, "Shibuya-san," he just says, "Yes~". For him, either's fine already. It feels like it's not about the name anymore. But I think this is pretty difficult. Fans definitely call him Subaru, too. Well, to guess... how many. If it's in front of Yuurakucho Station, it's people who ride the train, so it seems like they'd say, "Shibuya", all drunk and stuff. Which means... huh? People who'd call him "Shibutani", um... in the end it's fifteen. No, he could hit twenty. They're just saying his name. I think twenty or so could say it. Those of you listening to the radio, make a guess as well. The answer will be after this song.

On sale April 24th, Kanjani8's new song, as well as the theme songs for the drama I appear in, Otenki Onee-san. Please listen: Kanjani8, "Hesomagari"!

<Kanjani8 - "Hesomagari">

And here's the answer you're curious about! In front of Yuurakucho Station, how many people out of thirty were able to answer Shibutani Subaru's name correctly? Please listen to the examples from the interview!

"I don't know."
"Dunno."
"Who's this? Tamamori-kun!"
"Isn't that Akanishi Jin? Wrong?"
"Shibuya Subaru? Something like that. What was it... I don't know."
"Shibuya-kun. Ah, Shibutani-- Shibutani-kun."
"Shibutani Subaru."
"Eh, Shibutani Subaru."
"Subaru! Subaru Subaru Subaru. Subaru. I'm from Kansai so I know Subaru. Same hometown!"

Wah, I'm so annoyed! Mm, in front of Yuurakucho Station, out of thirty people, the number who correctly answered Shibutani Subaru were... seventeen? That's so many? Ah, I'm shocked! Conversely. I only had twelve, after all. Wahh, what is this? But that's incredible. My guess was pretty close, too. So that's it... Shibutani Subaru. It's Subaru-kun, after all. Vocals are nice, huh~ Amazing. This five-person difference is big, isn't it? If it's five people in front of Yuurakucho Station, that means it'd be even more across the country. I definitely need to go in front of Yuurakucho Station now. Nhahaha! What'll I do if every time we have a quiz, I hate Yuurakucho Station more? Hahahaha. Ahh, really, thank you for your cooperation. And that's all for the Kanjani8 quiz.

Well then, we have to part today. As for the answer we've been waiting for, today, April 14th, is known as Black Day in Korea. With no connection to Valentine's Day on February 14th or White Day on March 14th, single people gather wearing black clothes. For Black Day, what do they eat and drink? was the question. The answer is black food, which means jajangmyeon? In Japan it's jajamen-- oeh?! I was right! And then they drink black coffee. Seriously? So it's the spicy jajamen? Sweet and spicy. Something sweet and spicy plus black coffee... that's something else. Ahh, so that's it. Hmm, jajamen. I want to eat jajamen. Seems delicious. So that kind of day exists.

And now, an announcement. The drama Otenki Onee-san airs Friday night at 11:15. Takei Emi-chan, Sasaki Kuranosuke-san, and Dan Mitsu-chan! with an exclamation point. You're really pushing her! It's a new kind of mystery. It's interesting shooting it, too. But the amount of lines Takei Emi-chan has is no joke. Every time there's one that's a full page of the script. I play a detective, so I also have expository lines here and there. But yeah, I'm not very good at long lines. I wonder what this is. Youth, maybe. Actresses are amazing, huh? She gets it all in one take, too. And Dan Mitsu-chan. Dan Mitsu-chan is wonderful, too. Apparently Dan Mitsu-san goes to bars by herself, doesn't talk to anyone, gets drunk and goes home. Nfufu. It's amazing. Like, what an adult. Kuranosuke-san is, too. Once when the three of us were talking, it turned into a conversation about whether we drink, and he said, "I drink by myself." And when I asked about it, he said that he he has an evening drink at home by himself. When I heard that, I asked, "Don't you get lonely?" And they both said to me simultaneously, "It's not lonely at all." Ahh, I guess I'm a child. Those two are such adults. Dan Mitsu-san is thirty-two and all. But she's seriously wonderful. That air about her. If you watch the drama, it'll come out excessively, so please keep us in your favor.

Your companion till now has been Kanjani8's Ohkura Tadayoshi. Please continue having a wonderful Sunday. Bye-bye!

* To be clear, the distinction in Japanese between "hamburg" and "hamburger" is that "hamburg" is just the patty, often with some kind of sauce on it. "Hamburger" is the whole patty-and-buns routine. So what Tacchon's talking about here, hamburg, is all kinds of fancy patties.

** As you may be familiar if you watch Getsuyou kara Yofukashi, Shizuoka and Yamanashi are in a constant battle over which side of Mt. Fuji is the "front" -- the side seen from Shizuoka or the side seen from Yamanashi. Hambearg Guuguu seems to be pushing not only the hamburg into people's mouths but the Shizuoka Mt. Fuji front side agenda as well.
